American policy makers and political thinkers must come up with a new theory call it what one will to fill the gap left by containment theory. I propose we call it the "kick ass on anyone who even so much as looks at us funny" theory.

The Communists have always been an enemy to Free Republics.
Marxism led to Stalin and that is no polite twosome!
I for one would like to see Communism banned!
Ops4 God Bless America!

My guess is that the writer meant it ironically. Take the phrase "Nationalists of the world, unite!," and change one word.

It was the invocation of Mother Russia, not the Comintern, that Stalin used to inspire the Russian people and the Red Army to overcome what was initially one of the worst beatings in military history, and ultimately savage the Wehrmacht's Eastern Command. This is a very important point to make in this "nationalism is bad" arguement made by communists. They just hate American and western nationalism.
To: mrustow
I know. For workers' revolution and all that.
Still, whether it was intentionally or unintentially amusing, I still appreciate a call for a Nationalist International.

Nationalist International. Rule number one. I will stay on my side of the fence as long as you stay on yours. It is the agreeing on where the fence is that could be the rub

Yup. They're the biggest imperialists around.

The kicker is to hear from a leftist professor (like O'Malley) that communists were not imperialists; even though worldwide revolution is a plank in the communist party/cause, Stalin talked about expanding the Soviet empire all the time, and they occupied eastern europe for half a century.

I am goimg to pursue treason. We will propose a communists ban on the grounds of incompatibility with the right to life, LIBERTY (as in their stated goal is it's removal), and the pursuit of happiness. Coomies definitely dont make me happy. Confrontation on all fronts of our society against these bastards is called for immediately. I all for some venting (literally) of commies now. Lets take the offensive. As the pres said, "You are either with us or against us!"

Their belief, ultimately, is for imperialism for some people, just as they believe in nationalism for every nation but America.
