"The Pope is a wonderful man and he is doing what he believes is right. What did most of you think he would say? Bomb them and let God sort them out?"

I spent 12 years getting a Catholic education...with everything that I've read and seen concerning Iraq, I completely believe that it meets the qualifications of a Christian "just war". Apparently at some point the Pope has decided that determination of a "just war" was completely subjective.

OR, the Pope, like most world leaders, believes this war is rash and unnecessary. Our few "allies" are bought and paid for. The coalition driving this war forward consists of apocalyptic born-agains, the Zionist lobby and war nuts.

You could easily say all peaceful routes haven't been exhausted-- making it unjust. The issue is that we all know that those routes would fail and we'd finally have world consensus on the subject when it's too hot to go to war.

Don't ask me why I am even replying to your post. But all I have to say is thank God your not part of the Priesthood.
