I just wanted to let you know how nice it was of you for mentioning my father on this forum and posting such a nice page..Its nice to know that he is being remembered and recoginized..thanks for keeping his memory alive in your heart and giving other people a way to read and learn about him..About the breadwinner comment I'd like to say that it offends me and should have never been said...My dad was an independant man and very much able to hold his own....It bothered me to read that...That was an awful comment. But it was not your comment..and was not meaning to gripe at you..lol...thanks again and GOD BLESS...WHEN THOSE THINGS THAT ONLY HAPPEN TO OTHER PEOPLE HAPPEN TO YOU THAN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE EXTENT OF MY PAIN ....

Maa'm, Some of us remember and love our slain heroes.

Amber,
You and I have met, and I was there when Lisa and Gene first met, I was friends with them both, and I was there with everyone at the funeral. Don't be concerned with the "bread winner" comment, Lisa is a very proud woman as was your father. They made an amazing couple, and Lisa loved Gene in a way most folks will never know.
I will never understand the irony of how after so many years of searching, a lonely soul can finally find their needle in a haystack, only to have it taken away from them so quickly. As my father always told me, life is not fair.
