Once we've got a handful of people who have been President and don't have a vested interest in hurting anybody else publicly and personallyHe always assumes that everybody else is as shallow and mean as he is.
It sounds to me like he wants to set up some "Former Presidents" cabal that "facilitates" discussions about ongoing policy (probably with him as the "leader," no doubt!)
In a word, NO.
I am telling you he wants a debate most of all. He wants to prove himself more popular than President Bush. I will NEVER forget his slimy attack on Bush right before the Republican convention. It was full of malice and envy, couched in jokey language. You know it was bad if Dad Bush got ticked off.
