Is this the guy whose mother said he wasn't involved in any way with terrorists? Of course, she also said her son was the only one arrested. Lying is just an expected part of the culture.

This is somewhat off-topic, but I genuinely wonder how the Moslems rationalize their failures with their belief in the absolute will of Allah? If KSM and OBL are true soldiers of Allah, why has Allah abandoned them?

The most laughable aspect of Islam is the utter blasphemy of Moslems killing innocents in the name of Allah. They apparently have little faith that Allah can achieve things on his own. Conversely, Moslems have contemplated their egos, and have concluded they can act like gods.

Yes, a big 'if'. IMO, he's either dead or incapacitated.

Mustafa Ahmed al-Hasawi
Al-Hasawi was named as a “supporting conspirator” in an Dec. 11 indictment of Zacarias Moussaoui, a French citizen of Moroccan descent who U.S. authorities say was “an active participant” in the Sept. 11 plot. The indictment alleged that al-Hasawi, a Saudi native, received more than $18,000 from three suspected hijackers in the days before the attack, then cleared out bank accounts he had control over in the United Arab Emirates and fled the country on Sept. 11. U.S. investigators suspect that al-Hasawi, whom the FBI originally identified as Mustafa Ahmed, was actually Shayk Saiid, a key figure in the financial side of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terror network. In documents sent to banks seeking to freeze terrorist assets, the government uses the names Ahmed and Saiid interchangeably.

In the third paragraph under Home Raided, Searched.

"some analysts have questioned.........he may have been held for some time....."

It has been suggested that he was actually captured last Sept in the "big shoot-out" raid.

The significance of this weekend's captures would be hard to overstate.

I'll bet there is some serious internal fighting going on in the tents of these rag heads around the world. It will be a hoot if the CIA has nothing but barvado for this capture.

VOA newsite: "U.S. prosecutors say suspected al-Qaida finance chief Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi transfered money used to pay the hijackers' pilot training, living expenses and airline tickets. They say financial systems in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Germany were used to funnel money to accounts controlled by the hijackers."

...and no doubt, we'll nab some more when they try to re-establish links. Lookin' good!

VOA makes Hawsawi look high up. But not high up enough to be on the FBI Most Wanted List?

"Officials say that outside of bin Laden's inner circle, Hawasawi is the senior al-Qaeda official who most worries them. The 33-year-old Saudi national, the law enforcement officials say, has the skills and connections with hard-line Muslim businessmen, charities and mosques to fund another and perhaps even bigger terrorist attack and doesn't need bin Laden's financial resources to do it."
