I've said it a couple of times already today, and I'll say it again: If Saddam Hussein stays in power, GWB will be a one-term President......GUARANTEED.

Oh geeze.......I hope this isn't true. I can handle the end of March before losing it, but if we wait till something beyond April 5, I will start to get very grumpy. I will admit though, starting on April 7 would be a nice birthday present.

The arrest of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has changed everything.
I think the spotlight is going to be on a string of al-Qaeda related arrests between now and the new moon. The military want their dark night operation -- and it looks like they'll get it. And the White House can get maximmum PR from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Co. as well as those to be arrested.

"WEEKS NOT MONTHS"
To: SunStar
Well, you are putting that out of context. It is the late Jan/early Feb comments that matter. We still have a bit of time before it goes into the 2 month range, which would be "months." But, not much longer.

This could very well be a disinformation campaign to throw off Saddam's forces.

President George Bush said yesterday that the United States was trying diplomacy "one more time" to disarm Saddam Hussein "peacefully", and suggested that if the Iraqi leader complied with every UN mandate it would "signal the regime has changed". President Bush - October 23, 2002
Resolution 1441 presents Iraq with a "final opportunity" to comply with disarmament before it faced "serious consequences."
President Bush - December 3, 2002
Spokesman Ari Fleischer said the report was "Iraq's last chance to inform the world in an accurate, complete and full way what weapons of mass destruction they possessed

Too much patience, IMHO. Then again, the Ohios would have been looking for reloads about the middle of October, 2001 had I been in charge.

ONE BIG @$$ BUMP!!!!
To: Mark Felton
Either the administration is shirking from its duties to protect the citizens of the United States, or Iraq is just not a threat at all. Every day Hussein is in power is an additional day for Iraq to prepare for the war and develop the BOMB. Every thirld world tin-pot dictator in the world is starting to gain confidence. Next thing we know and nations like Syria and China will follow North Korea's example and laugh in the face of America's "power." One day we will wake up in a world with China on the moon, Islam reigning over Asia, Africa and parts of Europe and America will have subordinated its former might to a powerless international organization. The clock is ticking, yet it seems like no one hears.
