The stamps itself is very strange. The arabic calligraphy looks alot like the crumbling Twin Towers. And of course when you read EID right to left (arabic style) is spell die.
The original date of release was Sept 1, 2001.

When I was at the post office at Christmas, that stamp was pictured along with the Christmas stamps. A guy almost bought them by mistake for Christmas cards, obviously thinking that the writing resembled a stylized Christmas tree or something. The clerk told him it was a Muslim stamp, and the guy picked one of the real Christmas stamps very quickly.
