To draft individually would be a "live" draft. The problem with a live draft is finding a time when all the players are available and can be on-line at the same time, the time zone differences, some computers cannot handle it because of the firewall, etc. So in my league we do an "auto draft" where every manager selects his own draft order. The commish sets a draft date and time and at that time or shortly thereafter the draft is conducted automatically. The sequence of the first round is random then it follows in order like this: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 etc until every team has their maximum number of players. So say, if my first choice in the pre-draft ranking is Giambi, but the guy drafting ahead of me gets Giambi, then when my turn comes I will get my second choice.
