BTW, big storm last few days...35 FT swells here. Surf is up! Way up, in fact, too way up...scares the bee-jeepers outta fair-weather kayakers like me. Oh yeah... my buddy spotted a dorsal fin in the surf at Indian Beach last week. He couldn't tell what kind it was, but it was definitly a shark. That's the beach filmed at the end of the movie "Point Break".
Indian Beach (Ecola State Park, near Cannon Beach) is listed as one of the top surf spots on the Left coast. It's my surfin' spot. And there's a picture of it in Paddler Magazine this month. Thanks, Paddler, for makin' a crowded spot even more crowded!
