It's called "the deep pocket", and it's unofficially taught at law school. You first find out who has money and figure some way to attach them, however circuitous the route, as a defendant to your complaint so they can be available if the plaintiff wins. I've seen it in action and it's not pretty...

I'm not wishing for this to happen, don't misunderstand me.

But someday, probably in my lifetime, there's gonna be a whole lot of dead lawyers.
