STEEE...RIKE TWO!

One evening while watching a major league game, the batter foul tipped the pitch which hit home plate and squirtted through the catcher's legs. It bounced up and struck the Umpire. The announcers in the booth noted the Umpire's grimace and remarked that it really stung when you were hit in the thigh. The catcher turned to see where the ball had gone and the Umpire was uncovered. The announcers continued to babble but the whole world could see that the Ump was not clutching his thigh! In the end I don't remember who was hurt more, the Umpire or the announcers!!!!

"Schaawwwing,Batter"

" Hey, Ump, the pitcher's using Krazy Glue again!"

" My cup runneth over....good thing, too."

" I was born this way, what's your excuse?"

" Glad this isn't golf...."

" Oh well, now I'll have a new career--as an opera singer."

" I've heard of taking a bullet for the team, but this is ridiculous!"

" If the catcher makes a move to catch this one, I'll bang his brains out!"

This is what happens when they let the Junior Senator be a guest pitcher: she just goes on instinct.

Some guys I play baseball with only wear a cup if they play the infield.

I roam the vast expanse of the outfield; I always - ALWAYS wear a cup.

Once, I was taking a big lead at third hoping for a past ball or wild pitch. The catcher didn't like the lead I had, so he gunned it down. Instead of hitting 3rd, I got hit square in the cup - I had no time to step out - I got the wind knocked out of me, the ball bounded into left field, and I hobbled home scoring a run. The crowd all heard the pop of the cup and the ump had a $hit-eating grin on his face.

ALWAYS WEAR A CUP - the family jewels are too damn important.
