BBC America, a cable channel, doesn't dare risk its small US franchise with these blatantly anti-American programs.

It's an endless parade of Ground Force, Changing Rooms, Father Ted, etc.

If they showed their true colors Americans would be outraged.

I believe BBC America is actually half owned by the Discovery Channel. Almost all features (they do run BBC World News a few times in the early morning and at 6 pm, the exact same time every single other station in America is running *their* news), and extremely tilted towards female viewers. I believe their record for showing Changing Rooms in one 24-hour period is something like 11 times. And that's not counting *intentional* Changing Rooms marathons where they can go anywhere from 9 to 18 hours straight without airing anything else.

In all honesty, it's the most disappointing channel on US cable. We look at it and think, "THIS is all the great BBC is capable of putting out?" Almost total rubbish. And remember, shows like Father Ted and Graham Norton aren't even BBC programs! They're from Channel 4!

Though Carol Smillie is right hot...
