I thought Lang was excellent as Stonewall. He should get at least an Oscar nomination. To me the people appeared real.

I just found on the web that Jackson's granddaughter, the daughter of the little baby daughter shown in the movie, died in 1991. History is among us.

I just bought the soundtrack to Gods and Generals and it is even better than the Gettysburg soundtrack. It even comes with a DVD that contains Bob Dylan and Mary Fahl's music videos, plus the movie trailer and scenes cut from the movie.

Well worth buying.

I saw Gods and Generals with my mother and my 10-year-old daughter this weekend. What a pleasure it was to see a Godly movie--we've waited so long! We've watched Gettysburg about 20 times, and I look forward to seeing Gods and General over and over again, as well. This is a great movie.
