Ted had a great line about the Dems and their approach to poverty. He accused them of "weaponizing" the homeless.

Ted Hayes has been an advocate for the homeless, primarily downtown L.A. homeless, for decades. He cannot be bought or sold as his character is impeccable. I am heartened to see him again on the side of decency in this controversy/battle.
Appeasement is not Peace.

He's supposed to be one of those commie nuts wreaking havoc everywhere he goes, being a homeless advocate and all, but it's reassuring to see he's on the American side.
He gives color (literally) to the patriot movement!!!

His fundamentally entrepeneurial approach to homelessness is something I wish we'd see a whole lot more of. The idea of creating a tent city out of nowhere instead of just begging the government to help is an inspiration, at least for me.
He does march to the beat of a different drummer, and there are some things he says that I don't think quite hang together. But I for one like and appreciate him for what he is.

I'll try to listen, but I'm curious. Does Hayes have any ideas for homeless solutions that don't involve government subsidies of bummery?

LOL! Ted is somewhat of a "Trojan Horse."
Liberals see his imposing figure - tall, with a self-confident air, with his DREADLOCKS and colorful flowing robes - and their initial impression of him is that he MUST be some kind of left-wing advocate...
...so he draws them in, expecting the typical left-wing whining from him, until... BOOM!
They hear him talk about personal responsibility, and the importance of remaining VERY STRONG by defending America - militarily, if necessary, i.e. NOT what they expected...
...but by then, it is TOO LATE!

As I understand him, Ted will accept financial support from just about ANYONE who can help his cause, even if that means taking GOVERNMENT money - but MUCH of the original funding for his innovative "Dome Village" came from PRIVATE donors, and corporations, I think.

Though why the emphasis on money? I did a Google search since my last post and his emphasis seems to be in having the government formulate some kind of "Marshall Plan" for the homeless, complete with Cabinet level positions and the whole Uncle Sugar spiel.
Faith based solutions are the best bet for getting the "down-trodden" back on their feet, but it really starts with the individual.
This Hayes guy's made a career from this? Oh, Brother....

Between slooooow FR and ABC Snooze, no chance of getting a stream going. Upgraded the flash media (liberal bait & switch tactic) put it on all three workstations only to have 790 KABC say they don't have streaming shows for a while.
I suspect someone needs to tune into KABC 790 AM and tape the dang thing! I really wanted to hear how the gentleman handled the Support our Troops movement sweeping the country. Oh well.

Anyone hear Ted Hayes on Larry Elder? What did you think?
To: RonDog
You're right...the original start-up money came from Arco Corporation. Ted's Dome Village is funded primarily by HUD, but he looks to a day when funding would be completely private. I'm pretty sure that's the case.
