Continuing a series of surprise appointments, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Wednesday appointed former Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert a Finance Minister and former Environment Affairs Minister Tzahi Hanegbi was given the Internal Security Ministry.
The appointments come as Sharon holds individual meetings with Likud MKs to inform them of his appointments.
Earlier in the day, Sharon gave Silvan Shalom the Foreign Affairs portfolio, leaving current Foreign Minister Benjamin Netanyahu out in the cold.
