I wouldn't be surprised that so many Californians dislike Bush; all the newspapers in CA bash him on a daily basis. The headline in the letters section of the Los Angeles Times actually read, "Bush or Bin Laden - Who's the Enemy?" When Californians are told day in and day out that Bush's tax cut is to blame for everything from the health care "crisis" to the explosion of the space shuttle Columbia, they're going to turn against him.

Only the morons will....every clear thinking Angeleno knows that the LA Times is a slanted piece of filth.

I wouldn't be surprised that so many Californians dislike Bush; all the newspapers in CA bash him on a daily basis. That's not the reason. Karl Rove screwed the CAGOP in the last election when he put Gerry Parsky in charge of the campaign.

"These are numbers I haven't seen since 1994," when California was mired in a deep recession. But I thought the economy during the Impeached Rapist's reign was the greatest one in recorded history?!? In all fifty states!

Well, Karl may have screwed our state really great. But, the GOP won the Senate back. AND, CalGOP is ready to run Davis out of Sac.

while 17 percent blameInteresting. This is the first time this stat has been significant enough to be mentioned in a liberal rag.
It's also on the same order of magnitude as the dislike for Davis.
Maybe, just maybe, the macro economics of unregulated growth through immigration are beginnig to be understood

The reason Bush lost in CA was because the number of Democrats outnumber Republicans by about a million in registration counts...

I'll be polite and merely state that you don't know what you are talking about. Republican turnout for Simon was lousy and it cost McClintock dearly. Both should have won had Simon's campaign not been sabotaged. Simon may have been inexperienced, but then he shouldn't have had to expect his own party apparatus betraying him either.

You surely don't want me to link to the CA secty of state website do you?
Maybe Republicans didn't show up and vote that night but neither did Democrats and Davis still won.

Maybe, just maybe, the macro economics of unregulated growth through immigration are beginnig to be understood Even among California "liberals", I think it always was. Remember, 187 even won in San Francisco. Why? Because most CA libs are baby boomers, and they have a No-Growth/Environmental/Overpopulation opposition to heavy immigration. Add to that the Conservative opposition to mass illegal immigration lawlessness, and you have the 59% majority that 187 won by, even in a high turnout election (which, if the current rhetoric about Liberals and immigration were true, should not have happened).
Liberals and Conservatives have always had common ground about immigration and population growth in California. What's remarkable is that the Mexican ethnic terror lobby has been able to change that entire rhetoric - in fact, the Sac Bee pointed out that the 2002 election was the first one in 30 years where growth was not an issue. Again, why? Because now Growth = Immigrants = Brown People = Can't say nuthin' or yer a Racist.
Truly historic change. Scratch the surface of any white Californian - and a lot of black ones - and you'll find enormous resentment over what has happened. Conservative and Liberal alike.

Start
here, read all four articles, and get back to me.
The screwing of the CAGOP and Bill Simon started in 2001.

The truth is the California is a lost cause. After they banned smoking in bars I wrote it off.
Wackos!

Truly historic changeI'm confident it's also an irreversable change.
In California, the percentage of the population attributed to unregulated immigration has reached a critical mass. Even if government took the unusual step of regulating immigration and deporting the remaining aliens, the consequences of past policies would comprise 35% of California's population. This sector of the population is growing at a much faster rate than all others and will represent a majority of it's citizens within 25 years.
Today the consequences of unregulated immigration account for more than half of the public school population in the state.
