And then there was "Hummingbird don't fly away fly away (doot doot doot doo)" -- does anyone remember "The King Of Nothing" by Seals and Crofts? I sure hope not. And then J.D. Souther gave us the totally lame "When You're Only Lonely." Break out the Dan Fogelberg albums. I have to run out to a business meeting -- yes, the real world is intruding on the fun -- I'll only be gone about five hours and I'm sure somebody will give this thread the old "I Can't Get It Out Of My Head" ping.

I vaguely remember "The King of Nothing," but really liked "Hummingbird," especially when the FM stations, which back then actually had personnel who cared about music, would go ahead and play the full version with the intro, which was harmonically neat even at the time, and would be like Mozart compared with the output of today's two chord/song (if you're lucky) wonders. "O hummingbird, mankind has waited for you to come flying along..."
