The idea has merit. Put meat, dairy products, eggs, sugar, coffee, desserts, tobacco, and anything else the inmates like, on the list of priviledges earned by good behavior.

Lock those PETA nitwits in with the general population so THEY can inform the inmates THEY are going to take away the "MEAT PRIVILEGES" FOR INMATES....I'll bet you'd see some PETA eat some peta, if you know what I mean.
To: mhking
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I am sure many will dismiss the letter because it's PETA (including me!). However, he is essentially right. What sux is that I know the writer could care less about inmates. They cover up their obsession with animals, by faking concern for humans.

See, this has been my theory for years!! Vegie diet, up early for yoga at 6am, classic music piped into the prison cells, meditation hour in the afternoon and gardens where prisoners must grow food.
No more ex-cons saying they are 'hardcore' because they were in prison. :)

Don't forget the aromatherapy... lavender oil infused air pumped into the bing helps to calm them down.

PETA is crazy! Other idiots want to ban smoking in prisons!
I'm no inmate advocate but I don't want to see prisons used for social experiments. IMHO.

The medical research is contradictary:
Bacon Good For You, Reports Best Scientist Ever
ROCHESTER, MN (Onion, 2/21/03)
Bacon, long believed to contribute to heart disease and obesity, possesses significant health benefits, according to a study released Monday by Dr. Albert Gruber, the best scientist ever. "My research has found that three strips of crispy, mouthwatering bacon every morning can actually reduce cholesterol and help slow the aging process," the awesome Gruber said. "What's more, the bacon's positive effects are enhanced when combined with milk shakes and/or marijuana." In 1997, Gruber, a Mayo Clinic cardiologist, was awarded nine Nobel Prizes in Medicine for discovering that frequent oral sex with models cures cancer.

The reason they are taking this initiative is due to the fact they understand it won't be long until they become inmates!

Prisons used to be a good place to get rid of road killed deer.

Have you noticed how easy it is to spot PETA people?
They all drive beat up cars that are completely covered with bumper stickers meant to offend the general public.
When I see them at the convenience store or some public parking facility, I love to park so I box them in and then go get a hotdog and eat it in front of them and pretend that my car is broken down and I'll have to wait for AAA.
It's fun to play dumb and watch them rant and rage.
You almost want to adopt them as a pet and then housebreak them.
To: mhking
I don't have a problem with this. Amazing, I agree with PETA!!!! Rice and beans, 3 times a day 7 days a week.

"For once they actually make a decent point .... of course they need to pass out vitamins to prevent their bones from becoming brittle resulting from a vegan diet." Don't forget B-complex to prevent blindness. A surprising number of vegans forget to do this...

This can't be a real PETA letter - it makes sense.
We should implement this immediately, and WHEN the inmates sue (note I said when, not if) get whichever lawyer the sheriff who serves the green bologna uses.

Jelly? JELLY??? What kind of soft-hearted liberal are you, anyway.
Next thing, you'll be saying they should have crunchy instead of creamy peanut butter.
