This can't be true since the Demoncrats and French insist we are doing this unilaterally.

I'd take 3000 Emirates' soldiers over 30,000 poilus anyday.

I must admit, I'm beginning to enjoy this, in some twisted sense. I'll never forget being reminded of the words of Admiral Yamamoto on 9/11. Just after commanding the strike against Pearl Harbor, he chastised his celebrating officers by saying (paraphrased), "I fear that all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant." Awakened giants have many friends...
To: RoughDobermann
Apparently we do. That's why this made me so happy. To see troops ON THE GROUND. Unlike what we hope for from the cheese-eating surrender monkeys- simple permission to defend their sorry socialist asses from eventual destruction by suicidal hosts of terrorists straight out of the seventh century.

I wonder which country will be next?
To: RoughDobermann
What I'm going to enjoy is, after the war, when we've accomplished what we intended with little allied loss of life, THEN what are the lefties going to whine about?
Yeah, I'm sure they'll think of something.

I wonder how we got the UAE on our side? Did we promise them France when it's all over? If we didn't... let's!

I wonder how the "Kill all Muslims" crowd feels about this??
To: Burr5
This is probably the multi-state defense force that was sent to protect Kuwait. I don't think they'll be involved in any offensive capacity.

Awakened giants have many friends... You might be surprised at how many. Those on the left would have you believe that the USA is all alone and reviled worldwide.
Yet somehow we have 23 countries backing us publicly and only five (well six if you count Iraq) opposing us publicly.
I have not been to Europe but I have been in South America, Africa and Asia. Anti-americanism is not as prevalent as you have been led to believe.

Check and see how many have Saud in their name, then call them our friends.

I'd take 3000 Emirates' soldiers over 30,000 poilus anyday. At a 100:1 surrender ratio, that means at least 300,000 additional Iraqi and French prisoners to care for in the first week of the war. Hope we have the necessary logistics in place.
To: Burr5
Are we going to have to pay them, a la Turkey?
Either way, glad they're on board.

IF we're paying them anything it ain't "ala Turkey". Maybe a few mil... a McDonald's franchise or two... I don't know.
The fact is ...they are with us politcally, and militarilly as well.
