.357 is my fav wheelgun caliber....I bet with corbon or black hills, those numbers would rise.
You are correct. The .357magnum has the best street record of one shot stops of all the calibers this guy mentions. But remember, It's the 125 grain hollow point fired from a 6inch barrel that has this explosive power. I don't know why he only talks about these heavier loads that aren't very good for self defense. The 9mm also has a great record, but only if you use 115grain +p hollow points (Hydra shocks are an excellent choice). The 9mm loads he talks about are just too heavy and slow to be considered great.

Yep....I like the newer 7 and 8 shot models. Just point and pull the trigger.
Wheelguns are almost always my instant reaction handgun choice...not to say I don't like 1911s and their clones or SIGs
My first .357 was a 1972 or so S/W Model 28...huge heavy sucker. I put Pachmeyers on it when they first came and Parkerized it as well. I had finger gripped Zebra wood handles first....anybody remember those?

I'd like to ask your opinion on the 9's if I might. I have a Beretta 92FS and load it with Federal Hydra-Shocks. I have read a couple of post suggesting the 115 grain rounds and noted that I have one box with 124 grain and one box with 135 grain. Is the 115 grain a better choice than these?
Also, can anyone reccomend a website with info on Texas Concealed Carry info.
Thanks-Greg

Unfortunately, my H&K USP 9mm is "on target" only if I am using 147 grain round-nose or JHP. I'll just have to live with the 80% probability, I guess.
Of course, 80%x2 (double tap) is a 160% possibility. Enough for most folks.
