Part of this is true, of course. The university faculty and administration who spread this treason are the former pinko, hippy, leftist, draft-dodging, 60s dopers who burned the flag during Vietnam and who are now running our universities. They'll have their own reckoning, and soon enough.
But this girl has reached an age when she should be doing some critical thinking. She buys this pablum, hook line and sinker, when she should be doing some independent investigations of her own. No doubt she learned her "history" in front of the television at the feet of the likes of Peter Jennings, Tom Brokaw and Dan Rather.
This girl is over eighteen. She's responsible for her own actions.
