This is silly. The UN Charter specifically states that the Secretary General cannot be from one of the five permanent mebers of the Security Council.

Yeah...and like someone else said the other evening about not being able to be head of UN because we are in the Council...."so you don't think they wouldn't change the rules for him?" Scary.

First of all since when has any silly old rules stopped Bill from doing anything that he wanted to do???

Second of all, I claim this one. I predicted over 3 years ago that Bill would try this and I have even posted this prediction on FR.
The response has been your response that he can't. Well I say watch him, he'll at least try.

If Hiltary ever gets in as Pres, watch out they will rule the world.

So maybe Bill will move to Iraq, Lybia or one of the other more offensive UN members, thereby joining a "state" as Hillary did to become elected to an office due to popularity wit the locals....

Picture this: We don't go to war; then Bush loses, Hillery will run for President and WIN then Billy Boy becomes Secretary-General, bye bye U.S. Soverignty.

P.S.
Scary Thought isn't it

So they'll change the charter or otherwise ignore the "law" of the U.N.. Hell, according to the One-Worlders' opinion of Bush, Clinton should've asked permission of the Security Council before bombing Milosevic out of power - didn't stop him then, did it? Didn't motivate them to complain then, did it?

If this charter stipulation is the only thing standing in the way of Clinton becoming "President of the World," I'd give it a lifespan of about .000000000000001 seconds. If nothing else, they'll just do something insane like officially decreeing Clinton "First and Only Citizen of The World Entire, Native Son of All Nations Combined."

The rest of the planet f-ing worships Clinton. France alone would unleash its entire nuclear arsenal on Washington if that's what it took to install Clinton as World Dictator.

On a tangential subject: Anyone else up for starting a day count for the amount of time passed between sightings of Bill and Hillary in the same place together? Last I saw was the Wellstone torchlight rally. Last time before that: Inauguration 2000.

Clinton is a joke. After this war in IRAQ everyone will hate America more than anything else. Clinton is also Included unless he really dis-associates himself with the US. But The Leader of this BEAST will be non other than the ANti-Christ.Umm..Clinton?...I cant see it.

Hmmm... I wonder if their people phone ahead to the political paparazzi for such appearances, or what...

Such a shame when people stop putting any effort into their sham marriages. I wonder if they've tried sham counseling?

And you don't think clintoon is above campaigning to get the US removed from the Security Council?
You seriously underestimate the clintoons. It's been clear for years that this is the job he wants. There are several ways to get there, and he will pursue all of them.

If anyone could "bend" the rules, it would be Clinton.
