Myriam Vittoz, 46, said the French had forgotten that the US and Britain helped their country in World War II.Helped? Helped!? HELPED!!!?

French ministers and citizens have hit back at an edition of UK tabloid the Sun which depicted President Jacques Chirac as an earthworm. I agree. . . this IS a TERRIBLE INSULT!
TO EARTHWORMS!

the Sun which depicted President Jacques Chirac as an earthworm. Well first off, that's a major insult to the poor earthworm.
They should have just used a real picture of Chirac and his "ministers", like these:

Comparing Chirac to an earthworm is too insulting for words. Earthworms provide a critical service to the ecology of our planet. The are good Bream bait too. Chirac on the other hand serves only as subject for good jokes.

French ministers and citizens have hit back at an edition of UK tabloid the Sun which depicted President Jacques Chirac as an earthworm. Yeah. What were they thinking? Didn't they have a suitable picture of a maggot?

A woman at a Paris cafe terrace reads a special edition of the mass-selling British tabloid The Sun, portraying French President Jacques Chirac as a worm on the front page, which was distributed in Paris February 20, 2003. Chirac was criticised for his stand against U.S. and British plans for war on Iraq. The title reads 'Chirac is a worm'. REUTERS/Jacky Naegelen

Didn't they have a suitable picture of a maggot? What do you have against maggots to disparage them in that manner?
