A restaurant in Beaufort, N.C., has stopped serving french fries--or at least calling them that. "We now serve freedom fries," says owner Neal Rowland. His move recalls American anger at Germany during World War I. Back then familiar German foods such as frankfurters and sauerkraut were rechristened hot dogs and liberty cabbage. Polls show a full one-third of Americans now hold hostile views toward France, largely as a result of its government's refusal to enforce the U.N. resolutions calling on Iraq to disarm and otherwise comply with the terms of the Gulf War cease-fire. Just three months ago, France joined a unanimous Security Council in warning Iraq of "serious consequences" if it failed to take a "final opportunity" to comply "immediately."

Do you suppose that old Chirac might have a slight bit of a "little man syndrome" thing working, here? Just curious..........

Didymus Mutasa, the administrative secretary of Mr. Mugabe's ruling ZANU party, has admitted that the government has an explicit policy of, to paraphrase Stalin, encouraging fewer but better Zimbabweans: "We would be better off with only six million people . . . who support the liberation struggle. . . . We don't want all these extra people." Mugabe must be a closet enviro-whacko...

This guy Chirac, is a good study in how the "left" never gives up taking control.
The similarities of Chirac and his networking are very similar to those of Hillary Clinton. Nothing ever deters them and even when they are exposed they become more arrogant and determined.

"I felt they acted frivolously because entry into the European Union implies a minimum of understanding for the others," Chirac said.
Only another madman would have an understanding for Chirac's motives.
Explains the kinship he has with another madman: Saddam.

Another close friend of Chirac's and Frances:
The New Republic recently noted that Didymus Mutasa, the administrative secretary of Mr. Mugabe's ruling ZANU party, has admitted that the government has an explicit policy of, to paraphrase Stalin, encouraging fewer but better Zimbabweans: "We would be better off with only six million people . . . who support the liberation struggle. . . . We don't want all these extra people."
Now there are 13 million Zimbabweans what happens to the 7 million who are not good Zimbabweans???
Why is it that France always sides with the perps of genocide?
Hitler, the Hutus (Rwanda) and now Mugabe.
Jesus how I hate France.

When the American Left fantasizes about its utopia, it looks to Europe -- specifically France -- for inspiration. France is the center of socialism in the industrialized world.
Permanently marginalizing France, and replacing it with the anti-communist, pro-American nations of eastern Europe would be the best thing to ever happen to the US, because it would also help to marginalize the American Left.

But it is gratifying to know 'le jerk' was a jerk before. Just hit the mute button.

The formula for French Nationalizing Socialism is simple, to feel superior, they must make inferiors; Hitler's schtick (sp?) was the same.
Chirac is not Gaullist; if anything, he's an insult to de Gaulle's resisting the Germans.
This news article is a bit upsetting, because it is revealing that where goes Chirac, in support of nationalizing socialism, also happens to be where we were planning to affect relief from it.
The French had better shake this guy before it comes out how badly he is actively working against the United States.
