Former U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun, who is considering running for president on the Democratic ticket in 2004, stands at a podium before speaking to a small group at an event sponsored by the American Women Presidents organization in Des Moines, Iowa, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003. Moseley-Braun is spending the President's Day weekend at campaign events in the key early states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, appearing at events sponsored by the organization. Ten inches of snow Saturday in Des Moines kept many from attending. (AP Photo/Alex Dorgan-Ross) |

I will be changing my voter registration to Democrat in 2004. My state does not have open primaries so you have to be registered in the party. I will vote for Al Sharpton in the Democraptic primary.
Imagine Al at least getting enough votes to land a prime-time national TV (all the liberal networks) speaking spot on Friday night at the Demomaniacs National Convention. Can it get any better?
Im sending a couple bucks to his campaign, Im voting for him, and I hope to plant a yard sign out by the road. Think of it
lapel buttons, tracts for windshields in the parking lot, posters, etc.. Heck, maybe I could be his county coordinator.
This is going to be fun! The ultimate Freep. Will you join me?

wonder if the number of people attending will be greater than the number of primary candidates. or will both attendees end up actually voting for her?

Several things Sen. Carol Mosely-Braun will not talk about during her announcement to run for President:
1. The Senator has been out of office since 1998. If she were a sucessful politican , she would still be in the Senate .
2. Sen. Moseley-Braun spent $6.7 million to win the Senate race in 1992, the Federal Election Commission opened an investigation into the finances of her campaign, which faced allegations of runaway spending. In addition to taking out a $10,000 loan to pay personal expenses, she and her campaign manager withdrew $69,000 on credit cards. An FEC audit ultimately concluded that her bookkeeping practices were sloppy , but did not levy a fine or penalty against her. Curious...
3. While a Sentator, she was famous for coddling African dictators most notably, Nigerian despot Sani Abacho (a real-life blood for oil story).
I have no faith that these issues will be raised by the press during Sen. Mosely-Braun's campaign.

I think I just heard Braun say during a press conference she could not remember what her major was in college. Am I right? Hope the media picks this up. lol
