SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea threatened on Tuesday to abandon the 1953 armistice that ended the Korean War, accusing the United States of plotting a naval blockade as a prelude to an attack over the communist state's nuclear program.

"The situation on the Korean Peninsula is getting extremely tense" because the United States is planning to send reinforcements in a standoff over the North's nuclear activities, said a spokesman for the North Korean army.

North Korea's leader is undoubtedly now bolder thanks entirely to the idiocy of the pro-appeasement protesters. (Thanks alot, morons! You just made it easier for murderous tyrants to threaten the U.S. with impunity!)

The Democrat party fought for years against building a missile defense system and now we are threatened by nuclear missiles from North Korea. The missile threat from North Korea is exactly the kind of attack a missile defense could be effective against. However thanks to Clinton and his fellow Democrats we are now a few years behind in developing the system.

Of course we still do have the capability to retaliate massively if North Korea decided to use their missiles. We can only hope that "Dear Leader" wants to live to a ripe old age.

North Korea threatened Wednesday to withdraw from any agreements that connected it to the human race.

A spokesman of the North's Korean People's Army said that "the situation on the Korean Peninsula is getting extremely tense" because the United States is a big bad old meanie.

North Korea "will be left with no option but to take a decisive step to abandon its commitment to the human race."

State Department officials in Washington had no immediate reaction to the North's threat. However one official said, off the record, that the human race would be much improved if North Korea did withdraw.

The North, locked in an international dispute, OK, a bilateral dispute with the US, OK, a dispute with itself, because no one else is paying any attention to it, said it was going to take all its toys and go home.

Good observation. The Iraq action will go pretty much as planned, but I am afraid that the madmen running North Korea have bit off more than they can chew and are becoming increasingly beligerent.

The good news is, if the North Koreans try anything, they will be toast by the next morning. With fewer that 50,000 combatants on the peninsula, I suggest we will put to good use the several Ohio class boomers we have in the area.

We could also thank the Democrats for making it obvious to the American public that we do need a missile defense system. Of course, the Dems also sold the Dear Leader the means to build nuclear weapons in the first place.

As to his sanity, I am not so sure. He does have the world's largest collection of Daffy Duck cartoons. Maybe he thinks he will just spring back to normal after being bombed to smithereens.
