Sounds exactly like something we would do .... Ezra Dane, Carl Wheat, and Ephraim Bee were most likely involved in this joke. I am forwarding the article to the present Noble Grand Humbug (and good friend) of Yerba Buena 1 which is the San Francisco chapter.

I believe it was Bolton who still sloshed to the gills and dressed in Tuxedo (I belive it had something to do with the Stanford-Cal football game) would take a famous geographer's course, and the geographer would take his. For an hour they would extemporize to the glee of students who awaited the annual event and packed the lecture hall.
