Thought-provoking and refreshingly clear. Meade strikes me as possibly a Hamiltonian who nevertheless greatly respects what he describes as the Jacksonians, who could just as easily be called the Reaganites or Bushies. Couldn't pull away from the screen on this one -- thanks so much for posting.
"Meade strikes me as possibly a Hamiltonian who nevertheless greatly respects what he describes as the Jacksonians, who could just as easily be called the Reaganites or Bushies." Well, I'm not sure how deep his respect is, given his tendency to ascribe Jacksonianism largely to "leather-jacketed Harley riders and their women, who watch professional wrestling". :^)
I get the feeling that his respect is more grudging than otherwise.
