Congrats on your work. I still am disgusted that only 60 turned out. It should be 6,000. But of course..people will only be bringing out the flag when a bomb affects them personally.

Thank You Again

We will never has as many turn out as the other side. They are mostly college students. This is their social life! One of our counter-marchers today noted that it was like Mardi Gras. I would say AT LEAST 50% of them were college students. A few were old leftover hippies. And of course there were representatives of all the leftist organizations, from environmentalists to Free Mumia types (yay drango for his Fry Mumia sign!). This is their life. We are adults, we have jobs and homes and families. So our numbers will not match theirs...

Still, we got a LOT of attention. They couldn't stay away from us. One lady called them our 'groupies'! Most of them yelled insults. But some of them were willing to talk reasonably, and perhaps we got through to a few of them. That is my hope. That, and that if any troops going overseas turn on their TV and see the protest, they will see that we, too, were out there putting ourselves on the line to support them and our country!

So how big of counter protest has Florida Freepers had in response to all of the national antiwar protests?
