The Subways should be running. It doesn't look to me that the snowfall counts anywhere are accurate but it's a blizzardy day in New York City. D.C. looks picturesque, the Big Apple looks like a major pain. It's fun watching the cabbies newly arrived from Chad work out the snow driving thing.

The Metro, D.C.'s subway is running only the underground parts of the lines. They paid big bucks a few years ago to heat the third rail on the above-ground tracks, but this snow has overwhelmed the system. Dulles is reporting they've allowed eight planes to land this morning and Reagan National is closed unti 4:00. Tractor-trailer accidents on I-81 near Winchester caused people to spend the night in their cars. I hope they had their blankets and picnic hamper. And the best news: Ridge is preparing to lift Orange Alert and set us back to Yellow.

On Fox & Friends this morning when they were doing one of their outdoor segments a radio car got stuck in the snow - watching all those TV people trying to push it out and interview the cop at the same time was hilarious!!!
