I am in MA, but south of you (MetroWest, closer to the Northern RI border), and with the damming in place to the north, I think we are really in for it. The ETA has us down for 1.5" of liquid through Tuesday, with ratios above 10:1. That is a hell of a lot of snow, just like PA/Delmarva. And it will fall on top of the 4-6" of snowpack already in my yard.
It is amazing that with all we know about the world today, we sometimes still have no way of knowing what the weather will bring even 24 hours out.
I just went outside (0:35 ET), and there is a very low ceiling and an eerie calm. I mean not a breath of wind, and 11 degrees F. I bought a new shovel today, because I have been using the same one since about 1995, and it could go at any time. The stores were busy today, but people were buying such stupid things. I really didn't see anyone buying things that might be useful if we lose power or are snowbound for a few days.
I am a weather lover, and am particularly fond of Winter, but I have to admit that I am about over it. For the first time in many years, I will welcome Spring this year.
