****** THIS STORM MAY RIVAL 1996. WARM AIR RIDING OVER THE 12 DEGREE SURFACE TEMPS HAS CREATED A HUGE BAND OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ACROSS THE REGION. BONUS SNOW ! NOT EVEN THE ACTUAL STORM YET.
RADAR RETURNS FROM THE SOUTH SHOW TREMENDOUS MOISTURE WORKING IT'S WAY INTO THE STORM.
Check out the radar at Click onto National Looping Radar and look off the Carolina Coast! I see the moisture getting pulled in off the Atlantic. That is the Coastal low forming and it's looks BIG.
TODAY'S WARM FRONT SNOW COULD TOTAL 8-12" BEFORE THE ACTUAL SNOW ARRIVES LATER TODAY OR TONIGHT. AIRPORTS ARE CLOSED SOUTH OF HERE AND WILL BE IN PHILLY SOON. MOST OF THE SNOW TODAY, NOT TONIGHT WILL BE CONFINED TO AREAS SOUTH AND EAST OF PHILLY.
TOTALS ARE TAKEN UP TO 17-34" ACROSS THE REGION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I JUST HEARD THE WEATHER CHANNEL MENTIONING THIS STORM TO THE 96 STORM. IF YOU HAVE READ THE POSTS THIS WEEK THE 96 STORM HAS BEEN MENTIONED ALL WEEK. THE PLAYERS ARE IN PLACE.
THIS WILL BE A TOP 2 STORM OF ALL TIME FOR SOME AREAS.
This looks like a record breaker..
