Court martial him, then execute him as an example. It is time for change in this country.

Defining 'jihad'
Staten Island: As a law-abiding citizen and former Marine, I am appalled at how the Daily News defends the distorted definition of "jihad" in its Dec. 22 report on textbooks. The idea is to dispel ignorance, not defend it.

"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and of the State of _______ against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to them; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the Governor of (the state) and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to law and regulations. So help me God." (The National Guard Oath of Office)

Alternative oath: "I do solemnly swear that I will look out for Number One, take all the freebies I can get my hands on, including job security, a paycheck, and free education, and that I will break my word as needed. So help me God (insert Allah here, as need be.)"

I didn't see the guy on TV, but I hope he wasn't making these statements while wearing the uniform.
Let me get this strait: His unit hasn't been called up, he doesn't know IF it is going to be called up, but he decided to have a press conference to speculate on something that may not happen? Geez, anyone who has ever worn a uniform has objections to war...that is not the point. His presupposed inability to live up to his oath us.
Amazing world where guys like this get national exposure, while the other guys in his unit who are decent honest soldiers are ignored.

I can only think of three words to tell Mr. Khalil:

"Leavenworth," and "Buh bye."

"As a Muslim, I have objections" to the war, he said.

And I'm sure that you had no objection to what happened on September 11, 2001, right?

He should be court-martialed and put in prison for a long time.

STATEMENT:"Muslim G.I. says he won't go"

PROPER RESPONSE: A headline reading " Military hangs Muslim GI that won't go." Sigh! However, that would take strength.

Oh I see! He wouldn't have a problem fighting another country, say like Germany but he puts his foot down because the country is Iraq. If he is opposed to all wars, then why in the hell did he even join the military?

This is no suprise. Add this to the story about the top-level Muslim FBI agent who refused to wiretap terror suspects because "Muslims do not spy on other Muslims"!!!

Then he had the balls to actually sue the FBI for discrimination and was promoted by a cowardly Bureau to FBI chief in Saudi Arabia (where he presumably passes over classified FBI info)

Muslims cannot be trusted.

Khalil said he realized he could go to jail if he refuses to follow orders, but that he's within his legal rights to speak out against the war.

Right on both counts, assuming he exercises his right to speak properly. He can't do it in uniform, for sure.

And he can definitely go to jail for refusing to obey lawful orders.

I (state your name) do solemnly swear that I will protect and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foriegn and domestic. And I that will bear true faith and allegience to the same. I will obey the orders of the President of the United States of America, and the orders of the officers appointed above me. I take this oath freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office of which I am about to enter, so help me God.

Court-martial seems appropriate.

Muslims should not be allowed to join the military, their first allegiance is to their moon god.
