It would be improper for this American to 'tut tut' over lack of Germanic moral sense in voting for a degenerate, when clearly the US voters made the same error!

It boggled my mind that he got re-elected after clearly breaking his main campaign pledge (in Schroeder's case the unemployment number which he failed to reduce), but then Clinton did as much too! (promised not to raise taxes, then after election was job 1 in 1993 and passed huge tax increase).

It is unfortunate that these men do damage well beyond their own country when in charge.
