Adultery causes BIG problems, for the victims, the perpetrators and society as a whole. That's why G-d forbade it. Ever heard of the 10 cmmndmnts? If the husband had obeyed the 5th one, this thread wouldn't even be happening. Very few people are trying to defend the husband. But we also aren't trying to defend the wife. I seem to recall something in the 10 commandments about not killing, too.
