It is true that laundering diapers dumps just as much waste into the environment as disposable diapers (the waste only goes through the sewer system instead of a landfill). But we used cloth diapers for our kids. Not out of a sense of being environmentally conscious but for convenience. Instead of lugging home huge packages of diapers from the supermarket and dealing with smelly trash, we had clean ones delivered twice a week and all we had to do was put the used ones on the porch in a deoderized bag. Also, I'm sure the cotton feels better to a baby than that plastic crap. I was so glad to be rid of diapers but now that the kids are becoming teenagers, I'll go back to those days in a heartbeat.

Are they going to tax 'Depends' diapers too? That ought to go over like a fart in church with the older folks.

How many more examples need to be posted on this forum before it becomes crystal clear that most of California's problems emminate from the legislative rather than executive branch.
Davis has certainly acted feloniously but the results of his lust for political power pales in comparison to the long term damage created by the Democratic leadership and ultra liberal mind set in the legislature.
Given a choice between the recall of Davis or Wesson/Burton/Agelidies/Lockyer, I'd prefer we rid ourselves of reasoned, commited, boarderline communists instead of a superfical, corrupt poltician.
We can sway the corrupt politican with public outrage but even an organized, outraged citizenry can't influence a zealot.

Q: Why is a leftist politician like a diaper?
A: They're always on your @$$ and full of $#!t.

It's probably safe to say this Politician is all for illegal immigration.
Funny how he whines about the environmental effects of a "population explosion".

The disposable diapers now days are so much improved! They don't even have plastic outsides anymore. I almost miss those because it was easy to tell when the kid was wet. Now you have to practically undress the kid to tell if the diaper is wet because the finger test won't work anymore. In fact, there have been a lot of improvements in baby products in just the past 5 years.

An Oakland lawmaker wants to give parents an extra incentive to get their youngsters potty trained Does this guy have kids?? Every parent looks forward to the day when their child is potty trained. We don't need any added incentive, nor does the state need to stick it's nose in....wait a minute, I'm getting an idea.

The parents can begin recycling efforts by sending the dirties to that tax-happy politician's office.Good idea, and DemoRat Perata didn't think far enough ahead to realize he'll be needing them soon the way his mind is going.

That's unique,"A SH*T TAX"!

You also have the two-year-olds who regress because they miss being treated as a baby. It's very frustrating when you know the child could be potty-trained if only they didn't have psychological issues.

My brain hurts again... lol So much easier being a conservative, isn't it?
To: TXBubba
Geez that would have hurt me at one time I had 3 in diapers and one of them was in them until the age of 6....a long story.

I don't plan to-- though I wouldn't have to worry about guys dating my daughter if she were still in diapers.
