Noted with Amusement:

Among the things we need to cheer for during these tense times is a newspaper with a sense of humor.

The New York Post, who gave us the wonderful headline 'The Axis of Weasels' has dispatched veteran columnist Steve Dunleavy to file stories on the perfidious frogs.

Steven who is famous for his inabilitly to resist the press of the grape, is visitng French bars and cafes with a weasel under his arm.

They probably wont get the joke but who really cares?

Poor little stuffed weasel. With Steven's arm pit smell and the weasel's hairy body, it doesn't stand a chance against jealous French women.

The Post has brought in Murdochs Australian tabloid guys to run the paper and the results could be hilarious.

My other favorite headline is a New York Post photo of Normandy and Arlington-with the headline THEY DIED FOR YOUR LIBERATION-HOW COULD YOU FORGET?

Steve Dunleavy is Rupert's own personal favorite columnist and ol' Rupe would do just about anything for 'im. Because Steve is one of the many people at the NY Post that make the paper a must-read every morning. You JUST NEVER KNOW what's going to turn up in the Post...which is why it sells so well and makes so much money.

EVERY city in the US ought to have a "Post" -

Headless Body In Topless Bar

Actually before the current Aussie editors came on the paper was much more tame.

Now I hope they get back to their old style..

Given Dunleavy's penchant for the sauce, I hope he's got that weasel sewn to his clothes--or even his body. Can you imagine him walking up with a helluva hangover, screaming, "WHO STOLE MY WEASEL" in the lobby of a French hotel?

"Cafe Weasel" ~ sounds like the name of place you'd find in a trendy town in CA or CO. :)

These things used to freak out my baby niece.

In other contexts, the toy would be cute.

Better yet, still drunk, screaming "WHICH ONE OF YOU BASTARDS STOLE MY WEASEL?"
