There was a very interesting (and very long) article posted to FR a week (or so) ago. It talked about the near future of movies being downloaded from internet sites, much as music is downloaded via Napster, WinMX, KaZam etc.
As you can imagine, many in Hollywood are nearly hysterical at the very thought of this. Are the days of $20M salaries per movie numbered?? Wouldn't that be sweet. Hit'em where it hurts. The wallet.

This is the name and link to the article I mentioned, about the future downloading of movies. I know lots of college-aged kids that already download movies, while they are still being shown in theatres.
