Feb. 12, 2003 Gaza terrorist planned to bomb hospital helicopter pad, Negev tour bus By THE JERUSALEM POST INTERNET STAFF
Israeli security services today revealed the arrest of a Palestinian from southern Gaza with links to Palestinian Authority chief Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement, who planned to set off a bomb on a helicopter pad at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba and attack a tour bus in Mitzpe Ramon.
Ala'ah Sheich Ale'id, 23, of the southern Gaza town of Rafiah, along the Egyptian border, was arrested in December, a government statement said. News of his arrest was only released for publication today.
Ale'id is suspected of being active with the "Popular Resistance," a group connected to Fatah.
He sought to infiltrate Israel via Egypt, to recruit suicide bombers as well as carry out attacks on Soroka and the southern Negev Mitzpe Ramon. The suspect is also accused of planning to attack IDF officers and civilians in the Beduin community of Rahat, also in the Negev.

Here's an article RCW2001 would never post. Tell me: how does anyone condone blowing up tour busses or hospital emergency helicopter pads? Are these legitimate military targets? Isn't the idea to kill as many Jews as possible?

The Jewish people should NEVER have to live with these savages, for I would not want to. Ship them over to Jordan, the true Palestinian state. For more than 50 years the Jewish people have had to put up with this kind of behavior and that I long enough. Round them up, and ship them out. There is just no way that they will ever live in peace.

One nice thing about Israel: just like the U.S. it is a nation of laws. The evidence will have to be presented in an open court. They can't even hold him for long unless there is sufficient evidence for the court to remand him.

gee, was hopin for a little discussion of 'physical interrogation' procedures in Israel, which i support. bet we also use these procedures, but only secretly, and i guess illegally....
