Non-violent protestors will plan to try and blockade the TransAmerica Pyramid, the Pacific Exchange and other 'war making' corporate and federal headquarters in San Francisco the first day after a prospective United States attack on Iraq.
Nobody-not police nor activists who have participated in planning sessions for weeks-know how many people will show up.
Still, mindful of the ability of free form groups as the Critical Mass bicyclists to tie up downtown-and of the protests in San Francisco after the start of the 1991 Gulf War that resulted in 1,000 arrests-police and some of the events intended targets are preparing for some sort of disruption.
Activists have crafted a civil disobedience plan designed to shut down the city's Financial District to show their frustration with the United States Governments actions.

These guys are the brownshirts of today. No matter if one agrees with them or disagrees, they are neo-fascists in their behavior.

AWWW just send in the NYPD. LOL - the peaceniks handcuffed themselves together in NYC yesterday with pipes (don't ask me how they did that) and the NYPD just wrestled them to the ground and promptly brought over some Diamond cutters and cut the pipes. PISSED OFF THOSE PROTESTORS!! HEH HEH

"Non-violent protestors will plan to try and blockade the TransAmerica Pyramid, the Pacific Exchange and other 'war making' corporate and federal headquarters in San Francisco the first day after a prospective United States attack on Iraq."Does anyone else notice the distinctly Orwellian nature of this sentence?

Arrest 'em all for trespass and disorderly behavior, put 'em on buses and take 'em out to some open air stadium, where they can cool their heels for awhile. Repeat as often as necessary.

While they're at it, they should give the protesters a lobotomy while they're at it. Personally, I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, then a frontal lobotomy.

I remember a couple of years ago when there was a big anarchy rally in the business center of London. As the crowds massed below a few of the big bank buildings and started breaking things, the people in the offices - mostly 20 or 30-something stockbrokers - fired back with things like paperweights and staplers. I hope it's our turn.

The human Darwin Award finalists started with 85..now they are down to less than 50! (after getting to Turkey)
At least 30-40 came to their senses, or just wanted a free bus ride!
