In these United States, Snowyman, I am free to quote the Bible. You, demonstrably, are not. ~ yendu bwam
Let's just try a little experiment, shall we. Find a nice big city (SF should be a fun one) and take out a nice big add in the newspaper. Duplicate the ad and count down the minutes until the complaints and then lawsuits start to rain down upon your head. Then get back to me and tell me how free you are.

Woody the problem is that you won't find a newspaper that will print it in the United States. Its economics. Its not government censorship. While the newspaper would get complaints, if you were to take out the same ad in the United States you would not be in danger of facing a VIABLE lawsuit. It would get thrown out at the first hearing. Even with a Clinton appointee.
Canadians are in the unenviable position of having a government that prohibits the quoting of the bible if it offends the sensibilities of strange or queer people. We're not there....yet.

tell me how free you are. It's not the government limiting freedoms, it's economics. Pretty sad when you think about it.
