I did this type of post last year to see just what AMERICA is paying.

In the South Bend area it ranges from $1.69 to $2.08

Suburban Atlanta: $1.45 to $1.80 (I'm sure it's a good dime higher in town; but I always buy in the 'burbs).

There is no production or delivery problem. The prices is being driven entirely by speculation.

Neat site. Here in the desert of SoCal, I paid 1.73 a couple of days ago; when over in Arizona about 10 days ago, it was 1.31 - and I see by that chart that they appear to still be running 30 cents less than here (where we, of course, have lots of add-on taxes topped off with sales tax which taxes those taxes)
