As we all know, Poland was not saved by the allies in WW2 nor was it saved just after. Besides, Poland eats from Germany's table not America's.

true, but how much of a cozy relationship do they have? I am unfamiliar with the whole Pol-German relations. My curiousity stems from the splitting hairs being committed over Iraq. Is the deepening rift expaditing the German Superpower status tag in rivaling the US? The impression I have is Germany has gained that powerful financial domination they sought, at least in Europe, to forge a nominal confrontatin with the US. I see it as a design for reactionary purpose only for the near future split that will occur.
