UN experts are to destroy four plastic containers filled with mustard gas registered by previous UN disarmament inspectors and recently found north of Baghdad.
Spokesman Hiro Ueki said chemical experts had visited the Al-Muthanna military site today to prepare for the destruction of the containers.
Ten 155 millimetre artillery shells will also be destroyed.
"The destruction process will begin tomorrow and is expected to (take) four to five days to complete," he said.

Great, they destroy 4 containers of the stuff. What about the stockpiles they have hidden throughout the country? Nothing but a last minute PR move on Saddam's part. Let the bombing begin.

Is this not a smoking gun? The anti-war crowd wouldn't recognize a smoking guy if they had a bullet between their eyes.

"The destruction process will begin tomorrow and is expected to (take) four to five days to complete," he said. OK, maybe I am showing my ignorance, but why on Earth does it take four to five days to destroy such a small number of missiles? Does anyone know exactly what is involved in such destruction?

And all it took them was a couple of months.
Hmmmm, guess I had better go get another cup of coffee, this could take awhile:

But, but, but...they SAID they didn't have any more WMD's! They PROMISED us they didn't have any more WMD's! They INSISTED they had already destroyed all their WMD"s!
Waaaaaah! (liberal conniption fit)
To: knighthawk
I could have sworn that many democrats said they didn't have any of this stuff.

Hmmm.....looks like we see the next stage of his deception. Suddenly we find 4 cannisters and they are to be destroyed ----- slowwwwwwllllly.
Now the anti-war crowd can say they are disarming Saddam - just might take awhile.

Well whoop tee doo.
To: knighthawk
If it was previously registered by UN disarmament inspectors, I wonder why it wasn't destroyed then. When they say previously found, I'm assuming they mean in the late 90's. Beats me as to why it was allowed to sit around all this time. How can you discover something that was previously registered? And I thought Sadaam said they didn't have this stuff anymore.

Didn't the Iraquis say they had already destroyed all WMD chemical agents? That's what they said in that humongous report they turned in a couple of months ago.
