Stuff it. Today's military can't wipe it's butt without the G and R hauling the TP. Pathetic. Therefore they aren't a "Reserve" because active units which need them, and can not function save a mile from port or base without these units, they therefore they are the active military. For reality, something your not familure with, the entire friggen Army, has no active water units that make, pipe, and treat water. Now I didn't go to West Point, but I have a feeling you couldn't have a army go far without water. The same with fuel and lubrication, and hosts of other logistics and repair. In what way are these units reserve? So, since other than buffing floors for old NCO lifers at the barracks, most if not all, combat units can't even deploy with out them.

If you don't have all the nessassary parts of an engin, you got junk, ditto a military.

Bush, the Gererals and Congress have had more than enough time to raise an Army, and they haven't for political ease. Not that either of the parties would ever take the easy way out. But it is nice to see them waste months handholding the French, Germans, Russians and drag this invasion of a 5th rate military power lead by a uneducated street thug. My God are we slow, you'd think we were back in Queen Victorias age, or even sail.
