Citing "this time of heightened security," U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones said the city's need to protect the public outweighs the right of demonstrators to proceed with plans to march past the UN.

What is it about going near the UN that is inherently dangerous for the public? Hmmmm? ;^)

The UN background would be for the photos all over the world. Propaganda, in other words. Also the U.S. Mission to the UN is right across First Avenue from the UN.
