The worst is driving apart more! You said you made good experiences with Germans and the country. Great! We need more of you. Your German friends would never say something negative about your nation - and vice versa! We need more of your sort, not less! That´s why I say pulling US forces out were the false signal.

I think this is why I am really torn over this.

I believe in the German people, despite being a little too socialistic in their economics.

But this popular, aggressive, opposition by Germany to garner international anti-Americanism in support of keeping Saddam Hussein in power just baffles, and angers, me.

The Bush administration has done EVERYTHING his critics have asked, including UN Resolution 1441 and proving that Iraq is in material breach of every resolution for a decade.

There is no question left in my mind that Germany's opposition is personal against this administration and harmful to the US by promoting hate, fear and anger toward us.

Certainly you must understand that we cannot sit back while Germany promotes ill will throughout the world toward the US but labeling us as warmongerers, and the greatest threat to peace in the world. Certainly we have the right to respond diplomatically, economically and by removing our forces remaining in your country. Certainly we have the right to choose to alienate and isolate Germany for protecting and supporting the Iraqi regime and painting us as more dispicable than Saddam Hussein.

Certainly you can understand my outrage and feelings of betrayal.
