Using testimony from victims and internal documents obtained by subpoena, the report finds that abusive priests were transferred from parish to parish despite pastors, other priests and school principals repeatedly asking that the accused clerics be stopped from ministering. In one case, according to the findings, a priest who reported his concerns and helped the victim's mother pursue her complaint had a memo placed in his file from a high-ranking official saying "no serious consideration" would be given to offering the concerned priest another assignment.
Some of you may recall the recent post on the Seminary in Huntington that feeds this diocese. The formation program was changed in the early '80's with great attention to liberalizing the content.
This is, once again, part of the purge that is needed to rid our dioceses of these perverts.
