I'm amazed that 'Gate is having Horowitz come. Usually we depend on folks like Al Sharpton to uphold the conservative half of the debate.
Although we did have an affirmative action debate with both Ward Connerly and Linda Chavez . . . that was shocking. Sure, the college president referred to Connerly as a "one-trick pony" and both were booed and jeered at, but still . . .
Good job by the College Pubs to get him to come! Guess Dave is good for something after all!

Al was at Colgate a few years back. Phyllis Schafly was there once, too. But lately all the speakers seem to be pretty liberal. Hope lots of people show up and not just the libs either. I don't know how well advertised it is but I've tried to alert FReepers in the area. Were you a Colgate grad? M

We were able to obtain a preview of his speech. Apparently the main themes are "Brush Every Day!" and "Brushing vs Flossing!"

Hmm, I don't think so. I'm wondering what he will speak about and if the students and faculty will even show up. Should be interesting.

Class of 2001. :)
It's also natural for me to have jumped on the Ithaca is the City of Evil bandwagon because of the hotel school in that town.
