The Kirkland AFB photo shown in the NASA briefing is of poor quality. It is a dark silouhette with no detail and a display that makes edges look ragged over the entire shuttle, not just the left wing.

The ragged edge could be "pixelation" if they blew the digital image up too far!

If that was the one shown on the NASA 4:30CST press conference, it was pretty blocky. It showed "something" on the left wing, but with a resolution of roughly 10', it was impossible to make it out.
